Mary lay down on the grass beside her, and looked up into the clouds. She was unsure what to say. She feelt no need in deniying the fact she liked Sirius, as it was now perfectly obvious. Yet she could not see that Sirius liking her. But she decided not to mention this to Lilly.
“You doubt he likes you, do you?” From the expression on Mary’s face, Lily knew she knew her best friend all to well.
“Well, yeah..” She mumbled, as though perfectly obvious.
